Melanie Green is a provisionally registered psychologist with Vision Psychology. Melanie is a warm and caring person who has had an interest in helping people (and animals) since a young age. Melanie’s passion for psychology started while completing a community services certificate and grew while volunteering for Edmund Rice Camps – a not for profit organisation which provides recreational camp programs for children, young people and families experiencing disadvantage.
Melanie’s special interest is the therapeutic health benefits that pets can provide for people. Animals have always played a large part in human society but only recently have we started to discover the many mental and physical health benefits they can provide. Many people have a close relationship with their pets and experiencing their loss can be as painful as losing a family member. Melanie is passionate about supporting and assisting clients through their grief and life transitions.
Melanie has a keen interest in assisting clients experiencing the following issues:
- Anxiety and related disorders such as phobias and panic disorder
- Loss of motivation
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Career transition
- Grief and loss including the loss of pets
- Anger Management
Melanie is also able to provide psychological services to:
- WorkCover clients
Melanie is passionate about helping clients to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. She is committed to using evidence-based therapies including Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Melanie also provides cognitive assessments, personality assessments and assists with the facilitation of workshops.

Provisional Psychologists at Vision Psychology are dedicated to community development and liaising with clients to find appropriate services.
